Technical Assistant "Artisanal Sector" - Sustainable Forest Management Programme (PGDF) in DR Congo
After graduating as an Agricultural Engineer in Lille, he obtained a Master's degree at the National School of Water and Forests in Nancy in 2002. Based in the Congo Basin since 2005, he has been working in the forestry sector since then. He has also carried out several missions outside this area, notably in Togo, Morocco, Ethiopia. His career has led him to support both the private sector in the field of logging, but also development programs focused on natural resource management and climate issues. He is behind the design and implementation of forest management plans for 4.5 million hectares of forest concessions. Apart from forestry, he is also a specialist in technical assistance for good governance, programme evaluation, implementation of the CITES Convention, and archiving. He joined SalvaTerra in 2023 to provide technical assistance to the Sustainable Forest Management Program (SFMP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in particular its "Artisanal Forestry" component. He is a complete expert, on the technical and institutional levels, recognized in his sector, particularly at the level of the Congo Basin.
